M.A.Y.B.E. SWEEPER RULES

YABA tournament rules and regulations will apply to this event. You must be a YABA member.

There will be 2 divisions, 1 handicap and 1 scratch. Each bowler must select the division in which they desire to bowl. Handicap will be 90% of 185. Bowlers will use M.A.Y.B.E. Tournament average based on 12 games. Bowlers without a Tournament average will use highest sanctioned 2001-2002 league average with a minimum of 12 games. IT WILL BE EACH BOWLER’S RESPONSIBILITY TO PROVIDE VERFICIATION OF AVERAGE. Any bowler unable to provide average verification may bowl in the scratch division only. Failure to use correct average will disqualify score if submitted average is lower. Scholarships earnings shall be based on the submitted average if it is higher than correct average. Corrections in averages may be permitted up to the completion of the first game. Scholarships will be presented for a minimum of four bowlers in each division. All scholarship dollars for each week will be awarded for bowlers during that week’s competition.

Tournament Format: All bowlers will roll five games crossing over 10 lanes. The field will be maximized at 42 bowlers unless more lanes become available.

Registration will close at 6:20 PM each Monday or when lanes have been filled, whichever occurs first.

All scholarship dollars will be distributed in accordance with the PCA’s Scholarship Policy.

Late bowlers will receive a zero for all frames missed. A frame will be considered missing when a bowler is not at his/her lane ready to bowl.

Ties for first place will be broken by a ninth and tenth frame roll-off. Ties in other positions will have the funds combined and divided equally.

All bowlers must check in at least 15 minutes prior to squad time.

You must send entry fee and average verification with entry form. No entry will be accepted without fees accompanying the form. Returned checks will disqualify the bowler from all awards and result in a $25 service fee.

The Directors reserve the right to correct any mistakes in averages, handicap or scores. All protest must be made within 72 hours, in writing, to the MAYBE Directors. Protests will be settled by the MAYBE Directors.

Bowlers may not bowl in offensive clothing. Hats will not be permitted during this event. Tee shirts and jeans will be allowed as long as they don’t have offensive language or graphics and there are no holes in the jeans.
